To make it more comfortable I changed the rod holding the belt for elastic, and removed the straight leg panel from the pattern. The ankles are finished with little shell buttons and tiny chain stitch loops
The “bonuses” are definitely the extra fabric at crutch, which hides totally these awful nappies, and the extra large breath of legs action they gain for their circus pirouettes!
All my three sons wore it, either in linen, voile, poplin or wool and quilted when exceptionally, we had to go to Europe in freezing winters!
Basile the last one who‘s 3 years, still wears a voile Sarouel everyday at school. It‘s almost his uniform, he choose it every morning himself from his shelf. I guess it is the utmost soft and comfortable, that’s why he loves it.
